Don’t feel like stepping outside for a workout? No problem!
Q: I’ve read a lot about circuit training, and would like to design a program that I can do at home. I only have a skipping rope, an exercise mat and a set of dumbbells. What can I do in 20 minutes?
A: Circuit training is a high-intensity workout that increases your stamina and burns fat and calories in a short duration. The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends circuit training 3 times a week. I suggest performing a 10-minute set twice, allowing yourself a maximum of 30 seconds to rest in-between movements while you change equipment.
