    Drinking smoothies aren’t all that much of a fun, especially when it comes to green smoothies.  But the clean eating community brought a new way to enjoy smoothies by putting it in a bowl with different types of organic and healthy toppings! Noted as one of the superfood dish, this Insta-worthy dish is packed with different types of textures, flavours, and nutrients! And we can just eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

    Rubberduck Cafe

    Rubberduck Cafe isn’t the first cafe that introduce smoothie bowls to the KL crowd, but it’s definitely one of the most popular. This bright, tropical cafe in Plaza Damas currently serves two different smoothie bowls for you to choose from; the Berry Bowl which made of smoothie of fresh berries and the Sunshine Bowl made of banana mango smoothie. Priced at RM18 each, both smoothies are topped with homemade granola, organic flaxseed or chia seeds, Hawaiian coconut flakes and topped with more tropical fruits to give off that breezy beach ambiance with their neon sign and palm tree decor!

    Ola Bowls, Pavilion KL
    Opened earlier this month, this new eatery in Pavilion is the hottest spot for health freaks ou there. Specialize in only smoothie bowls, their smoothie menu is larger compared to most cafes. The options include King of Greens (avocado and banana smoothie, goji berries, almonds, cranberries, and topped with bananas and shredded coconut), Sooper Dooper (berries and açaí smoothie, granola, coconut flakes, chia and pumpkin seeds, and topped with fresh fruits). And if you’re on your cheat day and want to indulge yourself, there’s also smoothie bowls consists of Oreos, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, and peanut butter!

    Pickle & Fig, TTDI
    Even though the cafe’s specialty are paninis, but that doesn’t stop Pickle & Fig to jump into the smoothie bowl bandwagon and release their own four different types of smoothie bowl bases! Ranges from RM17 to RM20, the three smoothie bases consist of either dragonfruit, avocado, peach, or honeydew. Each smoothie bowl is topped with toasted muesli or granola, chia seeds and an array of fresh fruits to complete the dish.

    Goodness Greens Cafe

    Another cafe at TTDI joining the smoothie bowl trend! Opened under La Juiceria, the healthy eating cafe whipped out two different smoothie bowls which are jam packed of nutrients. One is the Acai Berry Bowl—topped with shredded coconut, banana coins, strawberries, chia seeds, cacao nibs and bee pollen—and the other is the Pittaya Bowl with similar toppings. Pick either one of those bowls, and you’d have a great clean eating meal for the day. You can even grab their famous cold-pressed juices to wash down the smoothie. Each smoothie bowls are RM24 each.

    Just like La Juiceria, cold-pressed juice company Impressed has extended their menu into smoothie bowls! And trust us, just like the name you’d be impressed by their bowls. They have 4 types of smoothie bowls of fruity flavours such as açaí , dragonfruit, or mango with coconut water base topped with sliced bananas, strawberries, buckwheat, and chia seeds or their sugar free home made peanut butter smoothie with blend of banana, cocoa, and coconut water, topped with granola, bananas, and peanuts! Super yum! Their Açaí bowl is RM22 while the option to make your own starts from RM12.
